Somehow I lost a week. Somehow IF's "flawed" week passed by without my attention but here's my contribution anyway. I've always been drawn to the imperfect but as years pass I'm finding enormous beauty in the irregular and organic. Old age? No! I'm attributing it too learning how to see. At seventeen I would have surely appreciated the simple carrot and turnip but now they are worthy of portraits. Every little curve, turn and hue is astonishing.
Like these piggies... so many facets to a little swine's head!
I've heard a few rumors that Punxsutawney Phil says there will be a few more weeks of winter. Is it true? Oh, Phil... we've had enough! Yesterday was a lovely 35oF. but today it's only 7oF. We needed a bit of hope Phil. Even if only based on a shadow.
The quick colour sketch in today's header was meant for yesterday but I was hard at work meeting a deadline and couldn't squeak in any computer time. So I'll leave it up for a few days - just for fun.
RosiePosie is trying to get me back on track with the 101 Hat Project and here she is in a new design. Just a sketch for now but I hope to have some colour done before day's end. Perhaps all this blog time is giving that little mouse a bit of an attitude. She looks disdainfully proud in this sketch; I'd better keep an eye on her!
And this little lady is a very quick character sketch. She seems so be on her way to something. Maybe tea with RosiePosie?
And I forgot to show you Mlle. Lapin through rose-coloured glasses...
