If only I could coax the newest member of the family to clean! Actually I'd love it if any of them would tidy up after themselves but it may be best to keep my expectations low.
Dear Readers, I'm still here just swamped with work, work and more work. Unfortunately it's mostly the domestic, agrarian and animal husbandry type and I'm beginning to think I may need some help here at the farm. However does everyone manage all the work there is to do in one day? I feel like a bit of a failure in having to admit the need for assistance - after all my mother, my grandmother, and great-grandmother handled everything by themselves. Why can't I? Does anyone else out there have a bit of additional assistance in the housekeeping department? And if you do, how ever do you manage to find someone as well as delegate the work? I gave having a helper a try a few years ago but I always ended up cleaning so the house would look nice for the cleaning lady! How crazy is that! And I always felt terrible about needing her to mop the floor or clean the bathrooms. There was so much guilt that I did them myself which pretty much canceled out the other help she gave. But really, I have to do something about the time/work dilemma and I'd appreciate any advice at all. Someone pleeeease tell me that one woman cannot do it all (even though she doesn't want to admit it).
I'll be back as soon as possible with a funny little illustrated story for you. And here's a teaser... there are piggies involved! I may post it a few pages at a time on my website but I'll be certain to announce it here too.
Until tomorrow... perhaps the elves will visit overnight and wash all the windows!
p.s. For all those dears that have emailed, I really haven't forgotten you and in fact think of you each and every day. I'll be in touch as soon as possible. (((hugs)))
