a-gardening, a-gardening
So much cleaning up to be done after a long winter... and not just the lawn and gardens!
All winter I struggled with the clutter in my mind, not knowing what to do with any of it. And then just as the sun started to warm the earth again I found all of you dear friends and thoughts and ideas began to organize themselves once again. It's certainly no coincidence. Your kindnesses and acceptance are the reasons I am feeling good about my work again. There is no way I will ever be able to thank you enough and words certainly fall short of the enormous gratitude I feel.
Some of you have been wishing for some prints... I'm getting started on that for you and will let you know as soon as they become available. And I've been thinking about posting some of my unpublished book projects here - a page or two a week - so that you can read the stories along with the images. They are all projects that had been sent around to a few publishers but never found a home. Many of the images that you have already seen here belong to these stories. Does that sound like something you might like?
Last week while I was taking a little blog vacation I received well wishes which moved me to tears and left me speechless. If I haven't returned anyone's email yet it's because of just that... I haven't forgotten you... I'm just still a bit overcome with emotion and I know that whatever I write will fall far short of how I feel. But I will be in touch soon!
If only I could express how joyful it makes me when you tell me that my art makes you feel happy. For me that is the ultimate success. I think tmy garden will bloom wonderfully this year! And it is all because of you.

You are a true talent. I think it goes without saying, but I'm going to say it anyway, that we're all interested in your writing (which you do so well) and your beautiful artwork (which is absolutely breathtaking). I can't tell you how many smiles you produce each time I come to your site. It is truly a wonderful place. No, THANK YOU!! Thank YOU!

Oh yes Lulu, I can't wait to read and see more!!! And prints? OMG, I will be first in line!!! I can't help thinking that you should still be sending out your books to publishers, You have so much talent, they must be blind to not see that!!! I am soooooo looking forward to seeing more of your amazing work. This little gardener is charming, especially his seedy tail! Lulu, Have a wonderful Easter, and may you be blessed with many rabbits and success...

Hooray! What a perfect little ray of sunshine at the end of a crummy week!
I would love to see more of your illustrations and read the stories that go with them! So many of the paintings you have posted already make we want to know the story around them. They are so rich - full of beauty, humor and charm. I am still amazed that your work has not been snatched up by everyone who sees it. They must be blind!

I love your work Lulu and I think it will find a publishing home - it just has to be the right one. But yes, for now, it would be amazing to have prints of your work. Your painting style is so delicate and perfect and it inspires me to paint better!
And your little mouse is too cute!

This little garden mouse is just the sweetest thing lulu!! I agree with Ulla in that you should still be hunting for a publisher. I would love to hear the stories, but I'm worried that if you put them out here, you will lost them for possible publishing? I don't know the ways of publishers so maybe they wouldn't care that it is printed in a public forum? You know best.
Prints, yes! I would love one, I'm next in line behind Ulla. Have a great week.
