fish words

Unaletters1Una was alone in her bobbing boat-home but outside feather-finned birds swam through the air and water-winged fishes flew about the ocean.  They would rise to the surface and blow silvery bubbles full of salty fish words.  As the bubbles jumped into the air they popped and words scattered.  Una would catch the words sometimes and toss them around, string them on seagrass and wear them on necklaces.

How I wish I could catch a few of those salty fish words to express what I can't Lulu. Words fail me when I try to describe my continual amazement at your talent. Once again I am so happy that you are sharing your beautiful work with all of us...truly.

Where or where could Lulu be? oh where oh where could she be??
I bet she is busy painting??
Breathtaking:) as usual...

Lulu, how wonderful, and I am working on ABC's this week! Love that she wears them around her neck in the story... The stork, the net, the little girl, and all those letters... charming...

So delicate, whimsical and sweet! I always love to see your paintings, they are like a waking dream.

to be the pink fish with his lips in the air kissing the letters as they tumble down, your painting is charming, thank you for sharing your art with us!

Wonderful painting Lulu! Una looks like she is having a wonderful time!

Oh, your work is so wonderful! What a great painting! Your colors are so soft and I could stare at the painting for quite awhile, or at least join in!:)

Another beauty, Lulu. I discover more words every time I look at it.

I just discovered your blog through Joanna's - and must add to your masses of adoring fans. Really wonderful, delicate, evocative, sensitive, beautiful work.

How charming! I love all the bright colored letters contrasted against the softer, more subtle charactes and background.

I'm falling more & more in love with Una with each new picture. You simply must get her story published because I know I will want to read it over and over. Thank you so much for sharing it with us here!

I join with all the others in saying I am speechless to find the right words to describe how your painting makes me feel. It takes me back to my childhood...thank you for sharing your talent with us all.
