black clouds?

Finch12blogMy goodness!  It seems that everyone in blogland is going through some very trying times right now especially those right here in our own little neighborhood.  I don't know about the rest of you but I feel like I have my very own little black thunder cloud pouring down rain directly onto my head.  Many, many hugs all my dear friends.  I'm sorry to have been gone so long.  You must have thought I had deserted you!

The fact is I have been trying my best to keep up with everyone by sneaking by to visit the blogs even though I haven't felt up to leaving many messages.  My heart and prayers have been with you all if that counts for anything.  And thank you so very much for all the kind words that you left for me.

Amazing Ulla, I just do not know how you do it!  I'm so glad to see that your husband is feeling better.  I haven't gone to check his blog yet but I will!  Anyway,  please know that I am thinking of you.

Dearest Lauren, where did your new blog disappear to?  It was just lovely and I so loved the new pieces you had posted.  I haven't forgotten you and all you've done.  Please don't leave us entirely... we will miss you too too much!

And Mrs. Staggs, I hope you are gaining some energy while you take this little break. May the blossoms in your beautiful gardens fill you with hope and strength so that you may return to Merryville soon.

Corey, mon ami, you continue to remind us all what life should be about.  It's so easy to get off track sometimes.  Why is that and how did you become so wise?

Amy ,you wee bunny, little maker of Lumplings, I missed the last herd ( Wow! They were gorgeous and the dresses - perfect!) but I've been spying those empty little lumling skins... I'm so glad you and Hans had good news on you latest trip to hospital.  May everything continue to improve for your wonderful husband.  Finn and Ella - there are no words for their adorableness.

Darling Heather, did you think I had forgotten you?  No, No, No...  I've just been bogged down in my own thoughts but it's time to get over that and back to life, right?  Thank you for all your good thoughts!  I'll be in touch soon, promise.

Miss Amy , always inspiring ;0).  If anyone hasn't seen Amy's new masthead do take a look!

Sweet Pea... I'm always looking for those illustrations. I don't know why but I'm particularly fond of the luggage tags.  Have you gotten that project wrapped yet?  Sometimes it seems to take as much time to pack the art for shipping as it did to make it.

Linda, Rosa, Liesl, CrabApple, Myra, Karen, Teresa, Ness, Ramona, Clarice, Trixie, Cookie, PaintGranny, Vicki, Barbara, Courtney, Anastasia, Sandy, Melissa, KerryTara, dear Beth, Jenny, Patricia, JoannaErin,  Heidi, DawnHelena, Natalie,  Caitlin, Annax, Enid (hope classes are going well), Susan, Lucille, Hulda, Marci, Michelle, Tammi, RobinCassi, Samantha, Cally,  Debbie,  Claudia, and MissyMuh  [did you think I forgot you?]... you are each and every one a treasure to me.  What a collection of talent!  Thank you for being my friends!  Gosh, I hope I didn't forget anyone ....

Several have asked about the fiber shop... I'm not certain if that's going to work out or not.  We're still trying to agree on a fair price.  I'll let you know as soon as I know!  Which should be sometime this week.

I guess you've probably surmised that it's been a struggle here on many fronts and I do so appreciate all the support.   I won't go into it all the details now but  I will say that I hope things get better soon!  For all of us!

Here's a little photo of the one thing I've managed to make in the last few weeks, Little Finch and Duckling.  Hope they make you smile!

Little Finch and Duckling certainly DO make me smile.
Seeing my name in your note made me smile.

BUT the biggest smile was when my page was loading and I saw ! THERE WAS A NEW ENTRY !!!

Here is to blowing away those dark clouds ! (puffed cheeks and a huge breath out)

oh and thank you for all of the links w/in your msg ! I have new avenues to explore - new places to see, new people to meet !

What a beautiful little bear! And don't worry, the black clouds only serve to make us appreciate the sunshine that much more when it reappears. Wishing you the best of luck in the coming days ... and thank you for mentioning me .. that was so sweet of you. :-)

good to hear from you & good luck with the little shop, if it's meant to be i hope it works out! i, too, have my own little cloud, but it's much smaller & greyer these days and i don't mind the reminder of my strength in getting through rough times.

Dear Lulu,
Thank you for your kind thoughts. Life is sometimes a little overwhelming at times isn't it? Sometimes you just have to take a little break and gather yourself, stand up to it and say I deserve the best that I can give and get despite of the adversity that comes our way. We all have just a limited number of days to make the most of. I'm thinking about you and wishing you well too....and I love these new little creatures you've introduced us too!

It is wonderful to see you back! I hope you and your loved ones are doing okay!

If you don't mind I really would like to link your blog on my new upcoming blog ((should be done next week!!)) if you don't mind :)

You are a wonderful artist!

Oh Dearest Lulu Lambykins! It is so wonderful to hear from you! I was hoping you were hanging in there. I know you have much weighing upon you right now. Hopefully the sun will break through those dark clouds and you'll find a silver lining.

I LOVE Little Finch and her Duckling is soooo cute! The little embroidered duck on Finch's dress is such a nice touch. I wish I had your talent for making these cute little stuffed lovelies. Guess I'll just have to enjoy them vicariously through you. :) Thank you for sharing them with us!

Glad to have a little ray of sunshine from you today!

Hope all is well. Little Finch and duckling are too adorable. Take care!

Aw! Thank you for your kind words!

Finch & Duckling are sweeter than honey and I love Finch's name.

I do hope that those black clouds lift very very soon!

So glad to see you back! love the little bear and ducky:) if it's any help at all....just remember that the hard times are what make us appreciate the good times! sort of like living in alaska....i am sure i would get tired of the cold and dark....and yet here in St. Louis i am always looking forward to the next season and the changes it will bring. keep you chin up and keep doing your art.....it is therapy...when you are creating you can't be thinking of other problems which gives your mind and break and a time to refresh:) i hope that soon your life will be on track again! love, linda

Oh Lulu, I do hope the black cloud passes quickly. We all do have our moments, don't we? You are so kind to mention us all. A sweet friend, indeed. Que sera, sera. Things happen for the best. If you were meant to have the yarn shop, it will be. Don't let it upset you -- I'm sure it wasn't sent to you for that reason! xxoo

Oh....I am so sorry to hear you have been having a rough time! My thoughts are with you!!!! Please take care! Hope things are soon better!
Claudia

Oh you! How is the new business stirring? I ssumed your silence was due to setting up your new place.
Blog land has had a dark cloud, though the rainbow of friendship seems to be the needed umbrella!
You asked how did I become so wise? Me?? lol!
Ask Lauren she will tell you that I am not :)!! Though your kind words touched me, thank you...I am someone who barely finished high school. I am a very very late blommer, just starting to bud in my late forties!

I just came across your blog and wanted to tell you he is the most precious thing I have ever seen!

Glad to see you back Lulu, and I was honoured to get a mention on your blog.
It is hard when you are going through difficult times, but hopefully when we share a bit of ourselves and the things we love to create, it might help a little:)
Wishing you a lovely day.

What a sweet post. Dark clouds always do clear, so take heart. And Finch and Duckling are just the sweetest. How could they not put a smile on my face : )

So very sweet! Can you see the smile on my face? The sun is shining a little brighter today! So nice to know you are about.

Lulu,

It's so sweet of you to ask about classes. they are going quite well. Soon they will be over. I had to stop the blog for a bit because of them, maybe during the summer I can work on some new collages and stuff for a new and improved Lily and Hanna. I hope all is well with you and all that you hope and dream of.

Sweet lulu, Thanks for mentioning me! Yes, it's true. My blog is gone... thanks for your thoughts on it, but I couldn't afford the time for it any longer.
It is wonderful to have an aching back due to working in the garden and not from sitting in my chair at the computer!

I will still be around and read all the neighbors blogs. I'm not going anywhere.

Miss you! Hope all works well for the shop.

hugs,
lauren

I'm so glad to see you are back! And with Little Finch and Duckling...so adorable!! Thanks for mentioning me here, I feel very honored to be among so many kind and talented folks.

I wish you the best of luck with your new endevour (yarn shop) which I think is an amazing opportunity!

xox

Good to hear from you!!! I always check in to see what you have been upto and to read up on your new posts - what a cute little bear ....
The warm friendships in the bloggyland community will surely shoo those black cloud away...

It is so nice to see my name in print - thanks! I think after the initial burst of spring happiness, many folks are feeling a let down. I know I've been a little down and attribute it to the great vacation I had with Mrs. Staggs and Vita, et.al. It is hard to come back to the ho-hum of 'normal' life. Tho normal life is ok, it is work that is getting in my way. As my license plate frame says, I'd rather be knitting! Hang in there dear rosie posie!
