This sweet little pair appeared while I wasn't able to do much physical work. Thankfully the RA has so far for the most part spared my hands. If I couldn't use my hands I think I would go mad! It takes a few moments to get them moving but after that they're fine most of the time.
Twig (4-1/2 inches), Dot, dress and cushion were sewn entirely by hand between naps on the sewing room's sofa. Hope you like them!
I'm working on a new pattern design right now so there will be a new little face to share with you soon.

Wow, I can not even begin to think of the type of wonderful talent it takes to makes Twig and Dot. They are amazing. Clarice

Hi sweetie,
I'm so sorry to hear that you've not been feeling well and living with such terrible pain. Your shop is lovely. I can understand how hard it must feel to have to care for it right now and especially when you have the responsibility of your land and animals too. I would feel overwhelmed. I hope that you have help with things. Please know that I have been and will continue to hold a good thought that all will be well for you soon.
I've missed seeing your lovely work. The reindeer is beautiful and Dot and Twig simply charming!
Take care.

Welcome back dear Lulu! Such a treat to see you posting again. I'm sorry you've been feeling so poorly. My grandmother had RA so I know of the pain you speak of. Luckily there are some good meds out now to help ease the suffering.
Twig and Dot are adorable though I am partial to your yarn shop! It looks amazing. I want to drive over to it right now!
I wish you continued good days now and into the new year.

Oh I am SO GLAD you are back, though NOT glad to hear about the RA. That is not at all pleasant, my mum had it. I hope you manage to find the strength to keep your dear shop open, but you must do whatever is best for you.Twig and Dot are just adorable, and so unique.
wishing you well from the UK.

They are lovely your very clever. The shop looks great too, it would be such a shame if you had to sell it. Welcome back and I wish you all the good health for 2007.

Oh dearest Lulu! I am so happy you are back! I kept checking your site to see if you were OK, but got busy over the holidays. What a delight to check and see new posts!
Dot and Twig are amazing! I love Twig's little retro dress and headband - and that little extra touch one her back end is charming. I am completely smitten with Dot, too. You know how crazy I am about rabbits and she is amazingly sweet! I have serious doll envy over these two! FANTASTIC WORK!!!
I hope this year will be a better one for you, physically. I am so happy to see you back and hope that you will have all of the good things you deserve come your way.
Missed you!
Heather

Dear Lulu,
I was thrilled today to see that you have been posting again and sad to hear about your RA diagnosis. You have faced a lot of challenges in the last year and have always approached them with strength and grace.
Your warmth and talent is always an inspiration and I wish you health and happiness for 2007.

Oh Goodness my! =^..^=
I am enchanted ... your work is a delight!
A mutual friend (miss sandy of Art Tea Life) sent me over and I immediately was lost inside your world.
I dare say I will be back ... fingers crossed each day ... that you have posted something new. Oh how I wish I had found you sooner! When Sandy said we had simularities ... I had no idea.
If only our studios were closer to one another ...
I would have sent invitation to tea.
While we chatted of watercolors & storybooks, hands busy with teacups, tiny whisps of mohair flying as we sewed ... Your darling little Mary-Ruth (and Rosie Posie most certainly as well) would be able to play with my Trillium (a young mouse I suspect about the same age as yours -- based on the illustrations ::giggle:: of course) They do so have simular tastes in clothing & big ribbons ... I expect they would fast be friends.
And Lisbeth would be welcomed too ... She could join Margaret for dressup!
Yes. If only we were not so far away.
I will point the girls towards your blog and let them see and read ...
Of life with bears & bunnies, of pug puppies and ducklings ...
and tiny mice that wear beribboned tails.
And you will not seem so far away.
So delighted to met you.
=^..^= love, zU

How relieved I am to find new posts on you blog but to hear of your ailments makes me sad, you have so much to give and to be crippled by pain I can imagine is no fun for a creative such as yourself. You are a wonderful inspiration for me and I enjoy your your blog so much that I checked in most weeks to see if you had returned. Good news with the shop and I hope in the near future some good news!

LULU! Welcome back to blogland (even though I myself have moved out of the neighborhood...) It is soooo wonderful to see your amazing creations again. I'm so sorry that the last half of the year was so trying for you both physically and with the shop. I wish that I knitted so that I could buy up all your lovely fibers... Maybe you could find a way to make them available online? And, I'm sure many would love to buy your amazing stuffed creatures and your watercolors! Your talent is too too wonderful to not be scooped up. As for the arthritis, I'm so sorry that you have been hurting. I hope that you will find medications or physical therapy that will help you on the road to feeling better. I know nothing about it, but offer my sympathy all the same.
I've missed you and I'm so thrilled you are back. Now don't leave us again for that long k? :o)
